How does it compare to the jungle carpet?

Bigger and heavier. Coastals commonly pass two and a half metres, so budget for a larger enclosure from the start.

Is the feeding response really that strong?

Yes, they are famously food-motivated. Use a hook to lift them out first so they learn that an opening door does not always mean dinner.

Do they settle down with handling?

Most do. Regular short sessions from a young age make a big difference, and many adults become very relaxed.

What enclosure will it need as an adult?

A large enclosure with real floor space plus height and strong branches, a secure lid, a warm end on a thermostat, and a water bowl it can soak in.
