Mostly range and pattern. Care, size and temperament are essentially the same, and both are hardy climbers.

Does it need a tall enclosure?

Yes, give it height and strong branches. A rat snake with nothing to climb is a bored rat snake.

Will it try to escape?

Absolutely, they are strong and persistent. A locking lid is not optional with this species.

How often does it eat?

An adult takes an appropriately sized rodent about once a week to ten days. Cost is low, only a couple of hundred baht a month.
