Yes, one of our usual recommendations. It stays around a metre, eats reliably, and needs only a simple enclosure.
Do the babies bite?
They can be nippy at first because they are small and everything looks threatening. Regular short handling fixes it within a few weeks.
Does it climb?
It likes to. Add a branch or two and a raised hide and you will see it exploring in the evening.
What do I need to buy with it?
An escape-proof enclosure, two hides, a water bowl, substrate, a heat source on a thermostat, and feeding tongs. That is the whole list.
