Common questions

Is this the frog I hear at home in the rainy season?

Very likely, yes. It is a common local tree frog, and the males call loudly at night when it is humid.

Is it easy to keep?

Very. It is hardy, eats crickets readily, and only needs a tall tank with branches, a water dish and regular misting.

Can I keep several together?

Yes, they do fine in small groups as long as everyone is a similar size and there are enough perches.

Can I handle it?

Briefly, with clean wet hands, but it is fast and jumps hard. Do any handling over a closed container so it cannot escape.
